9/17 (12-3PM) | BELLINGHAM, WA | VILLAGE BOOKS - POETRY WORKSHOP

In this workshop, "Lifelines: Writing Poetry from Life Experience," we'll explore ways to express our recollections in poetry. We will focus on demystifying craft elements such as form and metaphor. More importantly, we will unlock a natural voice in exploring complex, delightful, or even challenging memories. Drawing inspiration from poets like Natasha Trethewey, Mark Doty, and Ocean Vuong, we’ll plumb the wealth of our past to generate new writing. Designed for practiced poets as well as newcomers to the genre. Includes packet of poems, discussion notes, and prompts. Register here.
